Congratulations to SJP '11 students on the publication of the 2011 edition of The Princeton Summer Journal -- a special 10th anniversary issue -- and the cover story, a hard-hitting investigative report!
The Princeton University Summer Journalism Program, a ten-day intensive journalism program for low-income, rising high school seniors from all across the country, celebrated its 10th anniversary this summer and I was lucky enough to witness it. I belonged to it's fifth summer (SJP Class of 2006) and served as the program's staff associate/intern in 2008. SJP has been a big part of my life (wouldn't have applied early decision/don't think I would have been accepted to Princeton) since then and I attribute any success I've had to the directors, counselors and supporters of the program (and of course numerous people I've met through SJP or outside of SJP). They have been extraordinary mentors. Happy 10th!
